My Story
From studying floristry at college and working in retail floristry for several years, I took the leap into growing my own flowers, seasonally, on a small, artisan scale. Here in the walled garden on the Mostyn estate and in my hilltop garden near Colwyn Bay, north Wales, I grow unusual varieties, along with lots of favourites, all with beautiful fragrance and textures.
As a child, I loved wandering around the garden with Mum and Nain (Welsh for grandmother), admiring Nain’s gorgeous roses with their beautiful scent and snipping stems as we went along to make flower arrangements. From that young age, a love of flowers took hold.
My flowers are grown in tune with the seasons, keeping the environment and wildlife at the forefront of what I do. I strive to be as sustainable as I can and avoid using floral foam and single use plastics. Where possible I prefer to use recycled and compostable materials and mechanics.
